Fly a Powered Paraglider (Paramotor) in all 50 States, Raise $50,000 for Charity.
Harley Milne’s challenge is to fly a Paramotor in all 50 United States of America and raise $1000 for charity in each state. He has been flying paramotors since 2015 and first learned about the sport in a magazine while traveling in Asia.
His road trip across the United States is a 20 year dream to see the whole country with the ultimate adventure to fly paramotors in each state. The inaugural flight took place in Hilo, Hawaii on November 8th 2019. As of May 8th Harley completed 45 states and expects to
complete Alaska by June 2020.
His paramotor tour has been covered on TV news stations across the USA and he has appeared on several paramotor live podcasts. He has been interviewed by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is an annual air show and gathering of
aviation enthusiasts held each summer at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, United States.
The engine that Harley uses is a Moster 185 Vittorazi: a guarantee of safety and reliability, which allows long distance journeys without any problem.
Some interesting places he has flown include; Salton Sea California, Craters of the Moon Idaho, Castleton Tower Moab Utah, Chimney Rock Colorado, Red Rock Buttes Sedona Arizona.
He hopes to fly in the Badlands Region South Dakota, near Yellowstone National Park Wyoming, Great Wall of China Montana and is very excited about Alaska where the final flights of the tour will take place.
Harley’s paramotor adventure stories are endless, but as he explains, it has been the Paramotor community’s enthusiasm and support that has made the trip so amazing.
“It has been an incredible honor to be an ambassador of the Paramotor Sport and share our incredible freedom to run into the sky to soar our beautiful world. Paramotoring is perhaps the most affordable form of powered flight with freedom to fly low and slow unlike any other form of flight. Quality training and modern equipment make flying parameters very same and accessible to young and old.”
Harley will set the Guinness World Record for the “Fastest time to fly a paramotor/ powered paraglider in all 50 US states” when he completes the 50xChallenge Paramotor Tour.
