Matt, you’ve been flying for several years. For how many, to be precise?
This is my sixth year flying, and it’s really a great experience, one that can bring a lot of excitement. And thanks to flying, I also get to travel a lot.
In what countries have you flown with Vittorazi motors?
In the United States, China, Vietnam, Australia, Cambodia, Thailand, France, and Spain. These are also very different countries, with different situations in terms of weather, temperature, humidity, and all the other variables. Vittorazi motors are extremely reliable, and you don’t even have to bring spare parts when you travel, because they hold up great. This is an extremely important factor: when crossing through a country, you also have to fly back!
Do you use the Moster185 for tandem flights?
Yes. I’ve always used it for that kind of flying – it’s certainly the motor I prefer.
More or less, how many hours a year do you fly?
Several hundred a year, I’d say, for an average of about 200 hours!
In America we did training on Vittorazi motors for all dealers. What do you think of this initiative for the United States market?
It’s extremely important for all dealers to be trained and updated in motor maintenance. The lessons we did with you showed us a lot more details on the things that have to be done, and it is essential for all of us to know how to take the best possible care of the motors. The Moster in particular allows me to fly continuously, with no problems; I do the ordinary maintenance with great ease, because of its accessible engineering.
We know you also tested our new ATOM 80, the lightest motor Vittorazi has ever produced. We made a big investment in technological research in this direction. What are your thoughts?
It’s really an outstanding engineering product. I immediately had an excellent feel for it; it’s a “soft” motor, and truly unbelievable. It’s easy to use, and this is its best feature: you just put it on your back and you’re off, driving it with ease. It’s also quiet, so you don’t feel the classic vibrations of motors in flight. It’s surely the best product I’ve ever tried, and certainly the lightest in its category. Truly an excellent motor.
