A four-day journey covering over 1000 km in 21 hours of flight commenced from the northernmost point, Punta de la Barra, to the southernmost, Tarifa, soaring above breathtaking landscapes: this is a summary of an incredible feat!  In this engaging adventure, the Moster185 proved to be an extraordinary travel companion with an exceptional power-to-weight ratio, showcasing itself as the ideal choice. Its reliability was crucial, navigating varying altitudes, changing weather conditions, and challenging temperatures. There is therefore no better way to savour the true emotions of this journey than to imagine them through the words of our pilot, Nicoals Aubert.    Can you tell us a little about yourself, your experience in the PPG world and your relationship with Vittorazi? I am Nicolas Aubert, and I've been flying paramotors since the age of 13. I am a Paramotor Pilot and, beyond competition, I have a passion for adventure and have traveled to places such as Brazil, Egypt, Jordan, China, Thailand, and many more. Ever since I started with paramotoring, I've been aware of Vittorazi, seeing their engine boxes at work. Three years ago, I had the opportunity to join this family and start flying with their engines to explore the most remote places on the planet using a paramotor.   What inspired you to undertake this crossing through Spain? I was inspired to demonstrate that paramotoring is not just a competitive sport but also a unique mode of travel. The challenge of exploring Spain from Punta de Estaca de Bares to Tarifa spanned over three and a half days, involving logistical, emotional, and technical challenges.   What were the main stages of your journey and how did you plan the itinerary? The journey traversed diverse landscapes, from the majesty of the Galician coast to the impressive Despeñaperros pass and the hidden treasure of the Sierra de Grazalema. Unconventional destinations led to unexpected decisions, such as landing in a supermarket parking lot due to unforeseen fencing or sleeping on a mountain surrounded by wolves.   Were there any particularly significant moments during the crossing that you would like to share? One of the most challenging moments was waking up atop a 1500-meter mountain surrounded by unexpected fog. Improvising the route and skirting Portugal became necessary.    What are the key features of the engine that helped you on this trip? For this project, I used the Moster185 Plus My22 because I needed a powerful, lightweight, and, above all, reliable engine. Throughout the journey, which totaled 20 hours of flight time, the engine performed wonderfully without any issues.   Did you have to make any special engine settings before such a demanding crossing? The engine is stock, without any modifications. For this journey, I wanted to use my Standard paramotor, my PAP TINOX frame fitted with the Vittorazi Moster185 Plus engine, a 17L fuel tank and an Ozone glider, to show people that incredible journeys can be undertaken with their own paramotor without any modifications.   Were there any technical problems during the trip and how did you deal with them? Technical challenges included an unexpected fog encounter and a minor part falling off the propeller. Patience and improvisation, like skirting Portugal due to fog, ensured the journey's continuity.   Facing such a long crossing alone must have been a unique experience. Can you share the emotions and feelings you felt while you were in the air, crossing Spain alone? Was there a particular moment that struck you emotionally during the trip? Flying over incredible sites like the Galician coast and experiencing local support brought forth a mix of emotions. Inviting local pilots to join segments of my journey created touching moments, with locals expressing awe and admiration for the adventure.   What were the biggest challenges you faced during the crossing? The unpredictability of the journey, from landing in unconventional places to navigating complex airspace, presented constant challenges. Also, one of the challenges I had to face was finding gas stations for refueling, as I had to refuel nine times in total.   How did you overcome these challenges and what did you learn from this experience? Overcoming challenges required improvisation, patience, and a willingness to deviate from the original plan. The experience taught me that limits are often self-imposed, and with determination, one can achieve their goals.   During the trip did you notice anything about the environment or did you have the opportunity to raise awareness about environmental issues? I could only observe many forests burned in the Galicia area, which saddened me. Also, I noticed how the reservoirs were significantly low on water.   Do you have a message or advice to share with PPG enthusiasts who might be inspired by your adventure? This adventure reinforced the idea that desires can be turned into reality. After over a decade of slalom competition, this journey marked my transition into exploration and stepping out of my comfort zone. For PPG enthusiasts, I encourage you to challenge your limits and consider the unique possibilities paramotoring offers for exploration and personal growth. Safe and adventurous flying!   It is stories and experiences like these that give us the energy to continue our journey.
