The Las Candelas – Puebla de Los Infantes airshow took place on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th of February in Seville, Spain, with an incredible number of pilots and flight enthusiasts including Daniel Crespo. Pilot, test rider, Spanish paragliding champion in 2018 and two times (2016 and 2018) two-seater champion, Crespo is also beat writer at Ojovolador, a very popular paragliding and paramotoring Spanish magazine.
We could not miss the opportunity to have his opinion on our Cosmos 300. The latest addition to the Vittorazi family represents the company’s ambition to aim for new flight possibilities by officially entering the market with an engine specifically designed for two-seater trikes, hang gliders and minimal ultralights thanks also to its Twin Spark technology derived from aeronautics.
Daniel paired his Cosmos 300 with the trike of frame manufacturer Airfer, one of the over 200 authorized Vittorazi dealers, and chose the skies of Las Candelas for his first ever flight!
You had the chance to fly a Cosmos 300, a paramotor engine that achieved 4 world records, which are your thoughts?
“Those world records are just impressive and they make me believe that there’s an enormous potential for this engine, something that I really look forward to finding out.”
This was the first time that Cosmos 300 flew in the sky at Las Candelas, tell us about our feelings.
“I could make just a few flight, my engine is still in the breaking in phase but I experienced a good balance between the trike and the engine from the very get go. An unprecedented feeling thanks to a smooth and easy to manage power displacement. I can’t wait to get some more flights in!”
Which trike did you chose?
“Airfer Mustang Light with a 160cm diameter propeller.”
Which characteristic has surprised you the most in our Cosmos 300?
“From the very beginning I liked the fluid flight experience a lot, a very smooth power displacement and its sound which was just amazing.”
Do you have some special project in mind with Cosmos 300?
“I was thinking to go flying at Canary Islands, where I currently live. I’d love to get clearance to fly over the summit of volcano Teide at 3715 m above sea level. Then another nice challenge would be that of reaching every Island in the archipelagus across different flights and many stints above the sea.”
Did you attend last Vittorazi MasterClass on Cosmos 300 back in December? Did you enjoy it?
“I was impressed by the great deal of commitment in the organization and development of its contents with a lot of useful information. I really appreciated the interest from the Orazi family and the Vittorazi team in promoting the Cosmos 300. I saw a great technical preparation and a profound willingness to share their knowledge with every pilot and industry professional that attended.”
Daniel Crespo allowed us to tell you about his new adventures and future impressions with Cosmos300. We simply cannot wait to receive his updates and perhaps get some shots from the summit of Volcano Teide.
