Leah Catullo’s reviews the paramotor engine Atom 80 after several flights in different conditions.

  In her recent trip to Europe, the American paramotor pilot, Leah Catullo, was aiming to enjoy some time up in the air and take full advantage of the nice summer weather and beautiful coastal landscapes in the places she was visiting.   Leah is an experienced pilot that has basically been flying with any Vittorazi engine, but in these kinds of occasions she always chooses to bring her Atom 80 along and understandably so.   First of all, being such a lightweight and very fuel efficient engine, the complete weight (engine just 10,5 kg + necessary fuel) she chooses to fly with is way less than with a paramotor engine of larger displacement. Still, even if the engine is smaller, it has more than enough power than what she needs to go on adventure flights and have loads of fun.   Since having fun and enjoying her flight is the goal, great comfort and reduced vibrations and low noise are going to be crucial for her. Atom 80 gets her covered here as well. So much so that after many years of use, Leah Catullo is still astounded by the smoothness of the power delivery the engine provides her with while also being very quiet. In fact she claims: “I go full throttle and sometimes I wonder if it’s even running”.   Furthermore, since not everyone of us has beautiful landscapes or areas suitable for paramotor flight in the backyard, moving around with Atom 80 has a ton of pros. The engine is designed according to Vittorazi’s engineering philosophy that focuses on simplicity and high quality components and is therefore very easy to carry around packed in a suitcase and simple to re-assemble once at destination.   Another aspect that is often overlooked when considering flying with less weight on, is the lower stress that has to be borne by our lower body both at take-off and landing. The lightweight granted by Atom 80 makes those moments much easier and enjoyable.   As an overall evaluation from many years of use, Leah recommends Atom 80 to “new pilots and female pilots who don’t want to carry a lot of weight on their back. However, everyone can find a good reason to fly with an Atom 80 just because of its convenience and efficiency”.   That's why Leah recommends the Atom 80: [youtube v="gyGl5VWPrss"]" ["post_title"]=> string(67) "Atom 80, best paramotor engine to enjoy your flights - Leah Catullo" ["post_excerpt"]=> string(0) "" ["post_status"]=> string(7) "publish" ["comment_status"]=> string(6) "closed" ["ping_status"]=> string(6) "closed" ["post_password"]=> string(0) "" ["post_name"]=> string(51) "atom-80-best-paramotor-engine-to-enjoy-your-flights" ["to_ping"]=> string(0) "" ["pinged"]=> string(0) "" ["post_modified"]=> string(19) "2022-01-17 17:40:28" ["post_modified_gmt"]=> string(19) "2022-01-17 16:40:28" ["post_content_filtered"]=> string(0) "" ["post_parent"]=> int(0) ["guid"]=> string(55) "https://vittorazi.com/?post_type=experience&p=5364" ["menu_order"]=> int(5) ["post_type"]=> string(10) "experience" ["post_mime_type"]=> string(0) "" ["comment_count"]=> string(1) "0" ["filter"]=> string(3) "raw" }

Atom 80, best paramotor engine to enjoy your flights – Leah Catullo

Leah Catullo’s reviews the paramotor engine Atom 80 after several flights in different conditions.

In her recent trip to Europe, the American paramotor pilot, Leah Catullo, was aiming to enjoy some time up in the air and take full advantage of the nice summer weather and beautiful coastal landscapes in the places she was visiting.

Leah is an experienced pilot that has basically been flying with any Vittorazi engine, but in these kinds of occasions she always chooses to bring her Atom 80 along and understandably so.

First of all, being such a lightweight and very fuel efficient engine, the complete weight (engine just 10,5 kg + necessary fuel) she chooses to fly with is way less than with a paramotor engine of larger displacement. Still, even if the engine is smaller, it has more than enough power than what she needs to go on adventure flights and have loads of fun.

Since having fun and enjoying her flight is the goal, great comfort and reduced vibrations and low noise are going to be crucial for her. Atom 80 gets her covered here as well. So much so that after many years of use, Leah Catullo is still astounded by the smoothness of the power delivery the engine provides her with while also being very quiet. In fact she claims: “I go full throttle and sometimes I wonder if it’s even running”.

Furthermore, since not everyone of us has beautiful landscapes or areas suitable for paramotor flight in the backyard, moving around with Atom 80 has a ton of pros. The engine is designed according to Vittorazi’s engineering philosophy that focuses on simplicity and high quality components and is therefore very easy to carry around packed in a suitcase and simple to re-assemble once at destination.

Another aspect that is often overlooked when considering flying with less weight on, is the lower stress that has to be borne by our lower body both at take-off and landing. The lightweight granted by Atom 80 makes those moments much easier and enjoyable.

As an overall evaluation from many years of use, Leah recommends Atom 80 to “new pilots and female pilots who don’t want to carry a lot of weight on their back. However, everyone can find a good reason to fly with an Atom 80 just because of its convenience and efficiency”.

That’s why Leah recommends the Atom 80:
